As Ω increases — as systems become more disordered — entropy S grows. This growth defines the direction of time. The universe moves from low entropy (ordered) toward high entropy (disordered). That arrow is what we experience as time flowing forward.

Time itself may be emergent from entropy. Without entropy increase, there is no arrow. No direction. No “before” or “after.”
